Antonio Barrera is Associate Professor of History at Colgate University (1999). He received his BA at Universidad de los Andes, Bogota, Colombia in 1989; and MA, PhD at University of California, Davis 1992, 1999. His specialties include Early modern Spanish history, early modern European history, history of science, and Atlantic world history. Barrera has written Experiencing Nature: The Spanish American Empire and the Early Scientific Revolution.
