Robert Garland is Professor and holds the Roy D. and Margaret B. Wooster Chair of the Classics at Colgate University. His previous books include The Greek Way of Death; The Piraeus: From the Fifth to the First Cenury B.C.; and The Greek way of Life: From Conception to Old Age.
