Chris Hedges, a former war correspondent for The New York Times, Pulitzer Prize winner, graduate of Colgate and Harvard Divinity School, uses the 10 commandments as a lens to look at the moral ruin of American society. He offers a powerful, if often irreverent and iconoclastic look at these ancient precepts, precepts that were devised at the dawn of civilized society to hold communities together and whose violation inevitably leads to discord, isolation and finally violence.
A campus lecture will be given at 7:30 p.m. in 300 Olin Hall titled, Losing Moses on the Freeway: The 10 Commandments in America.
