Coupon & Sale Exclusions

All sale events and coupon promotion codes exclude gift cards, computer department items, Hydro Flask, Jellycat, sale items, lawn signs, special order items, clearance, and the Bicentennial books. Coupon promotion codes will not stack on any items already on sale.

Shipping Options

Colgate Bookstore is proud to offer you the most competitive shipping rates. All of our shipments are professionally packed to ensure the safety of your items en route. On average, your order will be received in 7 - 10 business days. During August or December, delivery time may take longer. Please note, we ship orders during business hours Monday-Friday. We do not ship orders on the weekends.

In-Store Pick-Up: Free

All orders must be picked up within 25 days of order date. Any orders not picked up on time will be refunded to the original form of payment. 

Ground Shipping

Domestic rates for ground shipping in the 48 contiguous states:

Up to $100: $15.00
$101.00 - $200.00: $16.00
$201.00 - $300.00: $17.00
$301.00 - $400.00: $18.00
$401.00 - $500.00: $19.00

All orders containing diploma frames are charged a flat fee of $30.00 and will be sent via ground shipping only.

All orders containing special order items (chairs and lamps) are charged a flat fee of $60.00 and will be sent via ground shipping only.

When shipping glassware and other fragile items, we recommend choosing an expedited shipping option.

If your order contains only decals, please select the "DECAL" shipping method from the drop-down menu during checkout. You will be charged a flat fee of $5.00 shipping.

If your order contains only a gift card, please select the "GIFT CARD ONLY" shipping method from the drop-down menu during checkout. Purchases with only gift cards receive free shipping.

International Rates:
Expedited shipping is not available for international orders. Glassware, diploma frames, and other fragile items are not eligible for international shipping.

Africa, Asia, and Australia
Add $50.00 to the above ground rates.

Returns

The Colgate Bookstore staff wants you to be completely satisfied with your purchase, so we offer two options for the return of your merchandise. Please carefully read the information below to determine if your merchandise is eligible for either a refund or store credit.

Refunds:

• Merchandise was purchased within the last 30 days and is accompanied by the original receipt. 
• All tags are still attached to the merchandise.
• Merchandise is unworn, in original, salable condition, free from odors, pet hair and excessive wrinkles. 

Store Credit:

• Merchandise was purchased within the last 60 days and accompanied either by the original receipt or, if a gift, the full name of the purchaser. 
• All tags are still attached to the merchandise
• Merchandise is unworn, in original, salable condition, free from odors, pet hair and excessive wrinkles. 

The following merchandise is considered a FINAL SALE and is not eligible for return or exchange: 

• Purchases made longer than 60 days prior to return date. 
• Clearance items with prices marked down in red
• Sale items more than 30% off
• Computers and tech department
• PPE and Personal Care
• Consignment
• Textbooks (except during the designated Rush Return period)
• Special Orders (standard chairs, lawn signs, personalized merchandise)

When purchasing a gift, please do not remove the tags. We recommend using a pen or marker to black out the price. 

Please try on your merchandise before removing the tags. Merchandise without tags attached is considered worn and cannot be returned. 

Return Instructions for Web Orders:

Once you have determined the eligibility of your return, please complete the large white "Return Form" that is stapled to your receipt. 

• Neatly pack your item(s) in the appropriate sized box. 
• Include your receipt and the "Return Form" in the box.

Once we receive your eligible return, we will process your refund or store credit within 2 university business days. Refunds can take up to 5 business days to appear on your card. Store credits will be mailed out via USPS and may take up to 7 business days to arrive, depending on geographic location.
